Thirdeye is a collective of artists dedicated to promoting positive social change through the use of creativity. We believe our global and local environments are malleable and can be reshaped to meet basic human needs worldwide. The first step is to use our gift of imagination to develop a new vision of the kind of society in which we want to live. We seek to provide a constructive outlet for the community by showcasing local artistry, and hope to give local businesses and nonprofits a voice. We look forward to a new renaissance, a postindustrial era of freethinking, intellectualism, and spirit. The next stage in human evolution begins now.

Based in the Grand Traverse area, Thirdeye is the only free local publication with a focus on creativity and the arts. We are an open forum that is utilized by citizens who wish to express themselves to the broader community. We print 10,000 copies bi-monthly (six per year) and distribute them in six surrounding counties, with copies reaching areas such as Detroit, East Lansing, Grand Rapids,Ann Arbor, and Mt. Pleasant. Our operation is continually growing with the help and support of local business.

Thirdeye has no employees. Instead it is comprised of a small group of committed volunteers who work together in a tribal fashion. The payment staff members receive for their time fluctuates based on the revenue generated through ad sales. We are always seeking enthusiastic individuals with experience in sales, design, distribution or writing to help us with this project.
