Nicola
Freegard and Robin Janson of Tuscon, Arizona have designed recycled
vinyl billboard bags that blend urban hip with social awareness. The
designers' philosophy embodies a vision of renewal through resource
reclamation. By refashioning giant images produced by our throw-away
culture into functional works of art, they’re making a strong
statement for a sustainable future.
Vinyl
billboards are used nationwide as temporary banner advertisements
and usually end up in landfills as toxic pollution. To date, Freegard
and Janson have recycled over forty tons of billboard vinyl.
